From Blog to Practice: Digital Wayfarer Becomes a Consultancy

When I first started Digital Wayfarer, it was just a place to think.

A space to write about systems, workflows, transformation—and the messy human side of all of it. I wasn’t trying to build a business. I was just trying to make sense of how we work, why it breaks, and what it takes to fix it.

But over time, something shifted.

The more I wrote, the more I realized I wasn’t alone. Leaders were reaching out—not for content, but for help. They weren’t looking for frameworks. They were in the middle of real, high-stakes change: consolidating systems after a merger, moving to the cloud, trying to make AI useful without making everything worse. They needed more than advice. They needed a partner.

So I stopped just writing about it.

And I started doing something about it.

What Digital Wayfarer Is Now

Today, I’m officially launching Digital Wayfarer as an independent consultancy. The focus is simple: help organizations navigate complex change with clarity, speed, and systems that actually work.

We work with mid-market and enterprise teams—especially those already using Atlassian—who are facing real inflection points:

  • Mergers and platform consolidation

  • Developer experience gaps

  • AI workflow redesign

  • Organizational change that isn’t sticking

I bring 20 years of experience across tech, engineering, operations, and executive leadership. I’ve led Atlassian migrations, overhauled internal developer platforms, introduced ethical AI practices, and helped teams move faster without burning out.

Now, with Digital Wayfarer, I’m making that work available directly.

Why It Matters

Too many consulting firms sell playbooks.

I don’t.

Every system lives inside a context—your org chart, your culture, your history, your tools. Solving real problems means understanding that context, working iteratively, and designing for the humans who have to live with the change.

That’s what we do.

Whether it’s unifying three ITSM systems, building a developer portal that doesn’t get ignored, or navigating the chaos of AI with a clear head—we’re here to help you move forward, without losing the plot.

Let’s Talk

If your team is facing change and needs a steady hand, I’d love to talk.

The consultancy is live. The site is up. And this new chapter starts now.
